For design deliverables, progress is entered manually or accrued automatically when a step is linked to an event such as sign-off.
For design workpacks, it is possible to link its workpack steps to one or more events, so that if a progress item registered to the workpack raises one of the linked events, its progress can be automatically accrued. For example, the sign-off of a deliverable at a specified revision, or the issue of a deliverable on a transmittal for a specified reason, can be used to automatically accrue progress (depending on the definition of the deliverable’s workpack).
Design progress allows the monitoring of progress for individual design deliverables. Actual progress accrued for a design deliverable can be automatically calculated based upon key stages in its lifecycle.
