Interface Definitions

Select an interface definition to configure list editing.

Interfaces that have List Editing - Interfaces that already have at least one method configured for list editing with the List Edit control.

Additional Interfaces - Interfaces that are not already configured for list management, but are available for list management configuration.

Lists

Name - The name of the list.

Description - The description of the list.

Cascade Name - The name of the cascading menu, if any, that contains the command than launches this list.

Column Set - The column set used for this list in the List Edit control.

Related Access Groups - The access groups allowed to access the list.

Related Interfaces - The interfaces on which this list can be used.

Create - Create a new list for the interface definition selected.

Edit - Update the selected list. This opens the Edit wizard, which allows you to edit the method, the column set and the access groups for the list.

Copy - Copy an existing list. This opens the Copy wizard, which allows you to create a new list using the selected list as a template. You can also configure the column set and access groups for the new list.

Delete - Delete a list.

Edit Method Access Groups - Click to manage the access groups for the selected list. This will open the Manage Related Items form for access groups.

Column Items

Used to specify the behavior of columns that will appear in the List Edit window for the selected interface definition. Each column that will appear in the List Edit window is represented by a row in the Column Items section.

Column Item - The item in the column set which will appear in the List Edit window and the List View window.

Read Only - When selected, the column will be read-only.

Mandatory - When selected, the column will be mandatory. When a new object is created in the List Edit window, a value must be entered in this column.

Disable Edit- When selected, this column will not appear in the List Edit window.

Disable View - When selected, this column not will appear in the Desktop Client List View window.

Advanced Mode

The following features are only available in advanced mode. See List Management Console advanced mode for more information.

Edit Interfaces - Click to manage the interfaces that will use the selected list. This will open the Manage Related Items dialog box for interface definitions.

Realized Interfaces

The advanced mode of the List Management Console allows system administrators to configure lists for all interfaces realized by a class definition, not just the interfaces to which they have access to an update method.

Class Definition - Enter a class definition to view all the interfaces it realizes.

Go - Click to begin the search for the class definition's realized interfaces.
