You can produce concurrent engineering summaries of mergeable items before merging a lower configuration or project to a higher configuration and use a specific grouping object to narrow the results.

Mergeable Item Summary – Lists all the items in a lower configuration or project that are ready to be merged to a higher configuration or plant, including any items being deleted or terminated.

Merge Structure Summary with Validation – Lists items using a grouping object to specify the data structure to be merged to a higher configuration or plant, and lists the validation results in a report.
