  1. In the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client, check out the CMF_ver document again. For more information, see Open the CMF file for editing.

  2. In the SmartPlant Schema Editor, click Tools > Schema > Advanced > Rename Configuration.

  3. Select Customization in the Config to be renamed box.

  4. In the New name for config box, type a new name for the file you are creating, such as SCHEMA_AcmeIntegration.xml.

  5. Click OK.

  6. Click File > Save All Modified Files.

  7. Close the SmartPlant Schema Editor without saving a session file.

  8. In the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client, find the checked out version of the CMF_ver document again.

  9. Right-click on the document, and click Edit > Undo Check Out.

  10. Click OK on the Undo Checkout dialog box.

  11. Find the XML file you just created in the SmartPlant Schema Editor in the following location C:\Users\[username]\Documents. Move the file to your customization folder with the other files you have created as part of this process.

  12. Right-click on the XML file and open it with a text editor, such as Notepad.

  13. Find the line that begins with "<ConfigBlock" and delete the entire line.

  14. Find the line </ConfigBlock>, and delete it.

  15. Save your changes and close the text editor.

    The existing configuration lines are deleted to add the new configuration in configBlock.
