You can configure the default API Entry Point object types, such as name and description,
to display as filters when you select 
FILTER on the Search menu in the Web Client. This allows you to control the search results returned using
the filters for each API Entry Point object type.

In the Desktop Client, locate the API Entry Point, and click Show Column Set > Manage Column Items.

Select the IsSearchDefault attribute for each object type you want to use as the search filter defaults in the Web Client. Any search includes the attributes by default in its criteria.

Click Administration > API Services > Regenerate Metadata to refresh the metadata.
Only string-based properties can be used as the filter defaults.
