The Plant Breakdown Structure (PBS) must be registered with SmartPlant Foundation so it can be used with any integrated tools. Once the PBS is registered, each authoring tool must be registered with the SmartPlant Foundation plant before you can publish and retrieve documents. When you register an authoring tool, this allows the authoring tool to display the SmartPlant commands and registers the authoring tool with the SmartPlant Foundation plant. After the plant is registered, you can publish and retrieve documents.
The following table displays the main interaction stages using the Register command.
