Another way to reduce the information on the shortcut menu for an object, allowing it to appear faster, is to display more information on the Details dialog box for that object. For example, instead of configuring relationship expansions to display data in the list view, it might be preferable to configure lists within forms and use the shortcut icon for object details, as described above. For example, the Details dialog box of a transmittal could display the related documents and other configured objects, such as responses. The goal of configuration, is to present the user with what they need at the time they need it, which improves the user experience. Instead of constantly navigating through shortcut menus, the user can select the Details button on the Shortcut Menu toolbar to display all the relevant information for the object at the same time.
Any form relationship display item can be configured to display as a list by setting its display item type to RelationshipMaintenance.
The embedded list view fully supports shortcut menus on the listed objects. Additionally, the form can provide access to buttons for changing, adding, or removing related items, or opening objects in a list edit view, if the user has access to such methods.
