Documents are configured as a complex object consisting of a document master, revision, and version. Most interfaces that are realized by the class definitions are just standard document interfaces.
The basic document is not classified by the classification tree but still has the typing properties of category, type, and sub type on the ISPFDocument interface. With classified documents, these typing properties are managed by the classification tree, as described later in this document.
The basic document model underpins all document classes. The vendor document is used as the example here, even though it is actually more than just a basic document. The later sections describe how to build on this to configure document reservation and configuration-controlled documents.
