In the Desktop Client, click File > New > Organization / Support Items > Area.
The New Area dialog box appears.

In the Name box, type a name for the area.
The new area is created in the active configuration, as indicated in the Functional area details section of the dialog box.

Click Apply or Finish to create the area. The new area displays in the New Items window.
