  1. In the Assign Property pane, click Add Property.

  2. In the 3D Attribute column, type the name of the 3D property you want to map to a Data Capture attribute.

  3. In the Property Group drop-down list, select a property group from the list in the Property Group column.

    You must select a property group which is defined in the Property Lists module. For more information, see Property Lists.

  4. In the Attribute Name drop-down list, select a Data Capture attribute.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click Close.

    Assign Property

    • To map the Name or Description of the Data Capture tag with any 3D property such as ID and Name, select Property Group as PrimaryDetails. The PrimaryDetails Property Group is provided out of the box with only two properties – Name and Description which corresponds to Data Capture Tag Name and Description. If you have .mdb2 file with tag Names and Descriptions defined, and you want those properties to remain the same in Data Capture, there is no need to map them.

      For example: In the above image, the Data Capture tag is mapped to the 3D property.

    • In the Associated Class Definitions for Template pane, select one or more class definitions, and click Add Primary Properties Add Primary Properties in the Assign Property pane to apply attributes of primary details for all the class definitions defined under a template.

    • You can select an attribute and click Delete to delete a property.

    • You can use the Primary Details option in the Property Group column to map a specific 3D property to the name and description of the Data Capture object.
