This procedure explains how to add properties to a report definition, remove properties from a report definition, or change the order in which the properties appear by default in the report definition.

From the Maintain or Create Report Definitions dialog box, select the report definition you want to edit, and click Edit to open the Report Administration Wizard

If an example object already exists for the report definition, it will appear in the Navigation pane on the left. You can expand the object to display the relationships between the example object and other objects.

If the example object for a report definition is deleted for any reason, properties cannot be added to the report definition. However, properties can still be removed from a report definition that has not example object.

The grid at the top of the Selected Properties pane includes all the properties of the object selected in the Navigation pane that are currently included in the report definition.

Select an object from the tree in the Navigation pane.

From the list of properties that appear in the Properties section of the Selected Properties pane, select the box beside properties you want to include in the report definition.

You can change the order of the properties in the report definition by selecting a property in the grid at the top of the Selected Properties pane and clicking Up
or Down 
to change its placement in the grid.

To remove a property from the report definition, select the property from the grid at the top of the Selected Properties pane, and click Delete
.

To change the default label associated with a property in the report definition, find the property in the grid at the top of the Select Properties pane, and edit the value for that property in the Caption column.

Click Finish.
