The CDW domain’s tag status property allows tag level control, which includes additional
property settings in tag registers for handover. For example, obsolete or invalid
CDW domain tags can be excluded from tag registers by setting the tag status property
to void. Tag status management is manually performed through List Editing.
What are the possible tag statuses that I can set in the CDW domain?
You can set the following statuses for tags in the CDW domain.
Active - Default tag status. Indicates tags active in the current design.
Preliminary - Used to identify tags that are valid but not yet ready for inclusion in a tag register.
Void - Indicates that a tag number is no longer available for use in the project.
Descoped - Indicates that a tag has been removed.
Why do I need to set the tag status in the CDW domain?
Except for the tag status property, all of the tag properties of an object are published
from the MTRAuthoring domain to the MTRPublishing domain. So, you must set the tag
status property manually in the CDW domain. This helps you query for tags, check tag
readiness, and generate a tag register for handover.
-
To query for the tags in the CDW domain, see Query for published tags.
-
Right-click the tags of different tag types for which you want to change the status
and click Set Tag Status.
-
In the Set Tag Status dialog box, select the status of the tag and click OK.
