Regular indexing is for indexing the objects created or updated daily. The scheduler task for regular indexing is created only if the FTR Regular Indexing turn ON/OFF option is turned on. When the option is turned off, the regular indexing task is deleted.

Only one regular indexing task is maintained in the system when the FTR Regular Indexing turn ON/OFF option is turned on. The regular indexing task is always in ready state after the processing is done, irrespective of success or failure, so that next time the same regular indexing task is processed by the scheduler.

All the objects with property SPFFTRNeedsIndexing set to True are indexed by the task.

When upgrading to SmartPlant Foundation 2009 R4 or later, the scheduler task for regular indexing is not created even though the FTR Regular Indexing turn ON/OFF option is turned on by default. To create the scheduler task, you must turn off the FTR Regular Indexing turn ON/OFF option, then turn it back on.
