Problem
An error occurs when extracting content from 3D model files that contain large amount of data using Data Capture. This results in the error: "Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to obtaining a connection from the pool. This may have occurred because all pooled connections were in use and max pool size was reached."
Solution
This error occurs because the number of database connections is not enough to extract a large amount of data before the specified connection timeout.
Before processing 3D models, you should consider the size of any of that contain a large amount of data. If you process large amounts of data, it is recommended that you increase the Max Pool Size property value located in the SmartPlant Foundation site Settings node in Server Manager. The default max pool size is set to 100. For more information, see Site Settings node properties.
