In the SmartPlant Schema Editor tree view, find and right-click SPMapClassDef.

Click Create New SPMapClassDef.

Provide a name for the new map class definition, such as IAcmeAuthoredItem.

Click the browse button beside the Mapping option box.

In the Possible Values for MapOption dialog box, select Map Directly, and click OK.

In the Publish to SmartPlant class\interface box, select the new interface where you exposed the new property in the publish schema, in this example, IAcmePublishedItem.

Click the Advanced tab and set Is Interface? to True.

Click OK.
