Each configuration item, plant, project, and so on, has a relationship to a specific configuration status. By default, the status is set to Active for each configuration item, so the Set Active Scope dialog only shows the active configurations in the system, however, users can select other statuses as they require.
The shortcut menu for setting the active scope is available for any configuration item. However, the administrator can restrict this functionality to configuration items with a specific configuration status. The administrator can do this by adding a condition related to the method or place a condition between the method and the access group. For example, a condition named ISConfigActive is delivered with the software and contains the following the syntax to make this functionality available just for active configurations:
