SmartPlant Foundation Dashboard is delivered with a number of client application modules that enhance the delivered functionality. The architecture consists of a container built on top of these application assemblies. The Dashboard displays all the application modules that the user has access to within a SmartPlant Enterprise system.

When a user logs on to the Dashboard, the software downloads the main menus and toolbars from the server. The access privileges of the user determine how these custom assemblies and applications are filtered and displayed. The modules that are delivered with the standard installation of SmartPlant Foundation are:

SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client - An administration application that provides management of a plant's engineering information, design, configuration, modifications, upgrades, and refurbishment. In an integrated environment, the Desktop Client allows this data to be shared between authoring tool applications and users.

SmartPlant Access Control Analysis - An administration application that can quickly and easily visualize access control data that includes methods, client APIs, relationship definitions, and access groups. The access control data can then be edited to tune the security and access configuration of the SmartPlant Foundation system.

SmartPlant Attribute Manager - An administration application that allows you to easily visualize and manage attributes that are allocated to specific class definitions or classifications. Each attribute represents a property definition or relationship definition exposed from an applicable interface definition, as modeled in SmartPlant Foundation.

SmartPlant Business Intelligence - An administration application that provides a convenient way to easily produce summary statistical information from your database or data warehouse information. Data can be displayed as graphical chart reports, which you can drill down through for further details.

SmartPlant Report Administration - An administration application that allows you to create or modify report definitions in an easy-to-use graphical interface, even if you do not have a detailed understanding of the schema and its terminology. You configure view or graph definitions for reports to search for a type of object in the database and use the properties to filter the results displayed.

Data Validator Administration - An administration application that provides a comprehensive data migration process that can import, validate, transform, and export new or existing data into your target system databases. This manages the data for quality assurance purposes, and provides reports to help minimize quality issues.

Data Validator Job Management - An administration application where you can create jobs that manage the automation of the import, validation, and export of data into selected target systems. The basis for each job is the job definition defined in Data Validator Administration, which combines all the settings into one process job.
