Next, create an MTR Authored Document and associate tags to it. Then you can publish tags to incorporate them into the registry and generate a tag register. Give the MTR Authored Document the name, EquipmentAuthDoc.

Before you create an authored document, you must register SmartPlant Master Tag Registry for integration. This registration procedure must be performed only once for each plant in which you want to publish documents. For more information, see Register SmartPlant Master Tag Registry as an authoring tool.

  1. Click File > New > MTR > Authored Register Document to open the New Authored Register Document dialog box.

  2. Select the MTR Document type for which you want to create a new authored register document, and click Next.

  3. Type EquipmentAuthDoc in the Name box and Equipment Authored Register Document in the Description box.

  4. Select the Item owning group as required, for example Open To ALL.

  5. Provide the additional required information to create an authored document.

  6. Click Finish.

  7. Click Find > MTR > Authored Tags, and search for the authored tags you want to associate with the new document.

    You can associate authored tags to an authored register document, but you cannot associate other related tag objects, such as instrument loops and cable runs.

  8. Select the 10 equipment tags created, and then drag them onto the new document, which is displayed in the New Items window.

When you view an authored tag in the list view window, the document with which it is associated appears in the Authored Register Document column.
