Associate an External Document with Instrument Tags - Intergraph Smart Instrumentation - Help

This option shows you how to associate an external document to existing instrument tags.

1. Open an Instrument EDE view.

2. Highlight the instrument tag you want to associate with an external file.

3. Right-click, and on the shortcut menu click Actions > Associate Documents.

4. On the Associated Documents dialog box, click Associate.

5. On the Associate External Document dialog box, navigate to the required file and click Open.

6. Click the Description field and type a brief description as needed.

7. Click OK.

This procedure can also be applied from the Domain Explorer.
