Smart Instrumentation Version
13.1

This tab is only available when the import link is defined for the SPEC_SHEET_DATA table or Specifications module. The options on the Specs tab allow you to set various options for importing specifications. You select the required Smart Instrumentation specification form, set document number defaults, and define the link for multi-tag specification format if needed.

Specification item type (only available when the link is assigned to the Single table import method)

Allows you to specify the target item type.

Specification module

Specification form

Allows you to select the target specification form from the list.

Preview

Displays the preview of the selected specification form.

Specification sheet option

Use custom drawing name

Allows you to import spec document numbers from the source. You can then map the Spec Drawing Name field in the Import Link window (in the Source Name field of the Target data window). Document numbers in the import source must be unique for each instrument. If you clear this check box, the Import Utility creates specs with default document numbers.

Include revisions in import

Allows you to import spec revisions from the source. You can then map the Spec Revision No field in the Import Link window (in the Source Name field of the Target data window). If you clear this check box, you cannot import any specification revision data using the current import link.

Use custom drawing name for process data

Allows you to import source document numbers for process data sheets. You can then map the Process Data Drawing Name field in the Import Link window (in the Source Name field of the Target data window). Document numbers in the import source must be unique for each instrument. Even if the target spec form does not contain fields from process data tables and you do not import any process data value with the spec, the Import Utility creates an empty process data sheet in Smart Instrumentation and associates it with the instrument for which you created the spec. If you clear this check box, if you import any process data value, when creating a spec, the Import Utility also creates a process data sheet and assigns a default document number to the process data sheet.

Multiple-item specification format

Import to multiple-item specification sheet

Select this check box to import all the SEE LIST data associated with the source tags. This option is available only if the specification form you selected is a multi-tag form. Selecting this check box makes the options in Multi-item spec format group box active.

Specification format

Select the required multi-tag format for the current link. You will not be able to change this definition when importing data to a module in the Import Link window. Note that this dialog is only available if you have selected the Multiple-item spec check box.

Enable all formats for selection in link

Select this check box to select all the available multi-tag format for the current link. This will let you select the required multi-tag spec format in the Import to Module dialog. Note that the format displayed in the list box will not affect the parameter settings if this check box is selected.
