This dialog enables you to view, create, edit, or delete user-defined macro functions. Smart Instrumentation allows you to apply macro functions to macros used in generating CAD drawings.
You can also create user-defined macros for loop drawings and hook-ups using the Macro Definitions window. For more information, see Create a New Hook-Up Macro Definition.

For Loop or CAD drawings you must, on their respective preferences page, select the Use macro functions check box to enable Smart Instrumentation to apply macro functions.

For Hook-Up drawings on the Generate Hook-Up Drawings dialog, on the CAD Options tab, you must select the Use macro functions check box to enable Smart Instrumentation to apply macro functions.
Function Name
Displays the macro function as specified on the User-Defined Macro Function Properties dialog.
Description
Displays the description for the user-defined macro function, if specified.
Abbreviation
Displays the macro function abbreviation as specified on the User-Defined Macro Function Properties dialog.
Set macro function as default
Allows you to set the selected user-defined function as the default macro function so that the software applies this macro function to all existing macros. When you specify a function as default, the entire row is displayed in italics. The default macro function has the lowest execution priority. For more information on execution priority priorities, see Working with User-Defined Macro Functions.
Properties
Allows you to view or modify the properties of the selected user-defined macro function.
New
Opens a dialog where you can create a new user-defined macro function.
Delete
Allows you to delete the selected user-defined macro function, provided that it is not associated with any macro.
