You use this window to access an existing work request. (A work request describes a possible malfunction or repair that may be require work.) In general, you create a work request from the Maintenance module. You can also create a work request following a calibration containing an As Left field that exceeds the permissible error, or following a result of Failed after a work activity.
From the Work Request window, the maintenance supervisor or foreman can create an actual work order, by opening a Repair Form window for the current work request.
You open a Work Request window for a given work request, from the Maintenance module toolbar . Select the item you want from the Create Work Request - Find Items dialog. Create the request for the tag you selected in the Create Work Request window.
Instrument tag
Displays the tag that you selected.
Created by
Displays the login name of the person who created the work request.
Creation date
Displays the date of creation of the work request.
Criticality
Displays the tag's criticality ( Process Safety System, and so forth), if defined in the Associate Categories and Criticality dialog.
Typical instrument
Select the typical instrument to which this work request is assigned, or select to create a new typical instrument.
Work request reason
Select the required work request reason from this list. If the required work request reason is not on the list, select Work Request Reason on the Tables menu to open the Work Request Reason dialog where you can add an item to the Work Request Reason list or modify it as required.
Work request title
Type the work request title or accept the displayed on as needed This field is filled in automatically after selecting a typical instrument.
Work request number
Accept the displayed work request number or type in the required one. Note that the WR notation precedes all work requests by default.
Problem description
Type the appropriate problem description.
