The following commands are used in the main window of Smart Instrumentation. Due to the screen space limitation, not all module icons are displayed. You can customize, from the preferences, the main window commands and select which module icons you want to make available. You can also customize the way the different commands are displayed.
File > Close
If modules are open, closes the active module. If no module is open, closes the current domain.
File > Open
Displays the Open dialog for choosing a domain and navigating to the <unit> that you want to open (only available when all modules are closed).
File > As-Built Data
For an Owner operator domain, displays As-Built and project data.
File > Project Data
For an Owner operator domain, displays project data only.
File > Change Password
Opens a dialog that allows you to change the current logon password.
File > Preferences
Opens a dialog that allows you to set preferences for the current workstation.
File > Units of Measure and Accuracy
Opens a dialog that allows you to set the units of measure and accuracy for properties in the current <unit>.
File > Generate Reports
Opens the third party application that is currently defined as your report generator, for example InfoMaker.
File > Import PSR
Opens a dialog that allows you to select a .psr file to open in the PSR File Viewer (available only if a module is open).
File > Page Setup
Allows you to select paper size, orientation, width, and height.
File > Printer Setup
Accesses your printer setup dialog boxes.
File > Exit
Exits Smart Instrumentation.
Modules > Calculation
Opens the Calculation module.
Modules > Construction
Opens the Construction module.
Modules > Calibration
Opens the Calibration module.
Modules > Dimensional Data
Opens the Dimensional Data for Piping module.
Modules > Hook-Ups
Opens the Hook-Ups module.
Modules > Instrument Index
Opens the Instrument Index module.
Modules > Specifications
Opens the Specifications module.
Modules > Loop Drawings
Opens the Loop Drawings module.
Modules > Maintenance
Opens the Maintenance module.
Modules > Process Data
Opens the Process Data module.

Opens the Document Binder module.

Opens the Wiring module.

Tools > Domain Explorer
Displays a new instance of the Domain Explorer. Note that you can display a maximum of 10 instances of all the explorers.
Tools > Reference Explorer
Displays a new instance of the Reference Explorer. Note that you can display a maximum of 10 instances of all the explorers.
Tools > Select Language
Opens a dialog that allows you to switch to another interface language.
Tools > Edit Translation Text
Opens a dialog that allows you to translate terms and phrases used in the interface.
Tools > Global Revisions
Opens a dialog that allows you to work with global revisions.
Tools > Changed Documents
Opens a dialog that allows you to look for documents in which changes were made.
Tools > Units of Measure Codes
Opens a dialog that allows you to modify the codes that the software uses to represent various units of measure (available only if no modules are open).
Tools > Title Blocks
Opens a dialog that allows you to specify the .psr file and other attributes of title blocks used in drawings (available only if no modules are open).
Tools > Interfaces > DeltaV
Opens a dialog that allows you to download definitions from DeltaV and publish data for DeltaV.
Tools > Interfaces > Yokogawa - Centum CS 3000
Opens a dialog that allows you to retrieve definitions for the Yokogawa CENTUM CS system.
Tools > Interfaces > Honeywell
Opens a dialog that allows you to download definitions from the Honeywell web site.
Tools > Interfaces > Fisher
Opens a dialog that allows you to export data for Fisher using the Fisher Interface.
Tools > Interfaces > SAP
Opens the SAP Wizard where you can create a data file for use in transferring Smart Instrumentation data to SAP.

Opens a dialog that allows you to export data for Masoneilan ValSpeQ.
Tools > Interfaces > Flowserve Performance!
Opens a dialog that allows you to export data for Flowserve Performance!.

Launches the Smart Instrumentation Symbol Editor.
Tools > User-Defined Macro Functions
Opens a dialog that allows you to add or modify user-defined macro functions for use with loop drawings and hook-up drawings.
Tools > Data Comparison Display Options
Opens a dialog that allows you to set a comparison color and font style prior to comparing Smart Instrumentation reports.
Windows menu options
Contains standard Windows options that allow you to move between open Smart Instrumentation windows, to arrange the windows on your screen, and to display the toolbars if they were closed.
Help > Smart Instrumentation Help
Opens the Help topic for the currently active window or dialog.
Help > Smart Instrumentation on the Web
Using the World Wide Web browser installed on your computer, accesses the Smart Instrumentation web site.
Help > Smart Instrumentation Web Forum
Using the World Wide Web browser installed on your computer, accesses the Smart Instrumentation user forum web site.
Help > About Smart Instrumentation
Displays information regarding the version of Smart Instrumentation installed on your system. From this dialog, you can also display information about your operating system and about Customer Support.
