Customize Manufacturer-Specific Field Headers - Intergraph Smart Instrumentation - Help

This feature allows you to customize field headers, to fit panel manufacturer terminology, on panel dialogs, such as DCS, PLC, I/O Cards and so forth. The customized field headers and labels replace the default headers and labels according to the selected manufacturer when editing panel properties. The default headers are the same as the Data Dictionary display names. After customizing panel manufacturer-specific headers, the custom headers appear not only on the relevant panel properties dialog but also on all child items dialogs and appropriate reports.

1. Do one of the following to open the Panel Manufacturers dialog:

   • In the Wiring module, select Tables > Panel > Manufacturers.

   • Select next to the Manufacturer select list on the appropriate panel dialog.

2. On the Panel Manufacturers dialog, select Headers.

3. From the Wiring item list, select the item type for which you want to customize the field headers.

4. Under Custom item name, type a custom item name for the selected item type.

5. Under Custom Field Header, type the text you require next to the appropriate value that appears under Field Header in Data Dictionary.

6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 as many times as you require.

7. Select OK.
