Tag Number Data Field

Enables you to type the name of a new tag number. The software displays the old tag number name. Modify the old name by typing in the required values. Use the Tab key or the left and right arrow keys to move the cursor to the next place. You can make your corrections or changes by overwriting the existing values. Alternatively, you can select the characters with the mouse pointer and then type the new content.

For the alphanumeric part of the name, you can type any character (letters, digits, spaces, and so forth.) For the numeric part of the name, you can use only digits (0 to 9). You can customize the tag number name template to set a default, but only the Domain Administrator can change the naming conventions. For more details, see Customize Tag Name.
