This dialog opens when you select the Find option within a note. It is useful when the note is very long and you want to find a particular text item. On selecting Find Next, the search proceeds from the cursor location in the direction determined by the selection made in the Search field, and stops at the item that matches the search string. If the string is not found, a message is displayed.
Find what
Enter the text (partial or complete) that you want to find.
Search
Select an option for the way in which you want the search to proceed.
All
Performs a search for the text string forwards from the cursor location. If the cursor reaches the end of the note without finding the required text, a message is displayed. In this case, selecting Find Next continues the search from the beginning of the note until the required string is found or until a message is displayed in the case where the string is not found. ·
Forward
Performs a search for the text string forwards from the cursor location to the end of the note until the required string is found or until a message is displayed in the case where the string is not found. ·
Backward
Performs a search for the text string backwards from the cursor location to the beginning of the note until the required string is found or until a message is displayed in the case where the string is not found.
Match case
Select this option to perform a search for text that exactly matches the case of the text string entered in the Find what field.
Match whole words only
Select this option to perform a search where the text string entered in the Find what field exactly matches entire words in the target string; partial matches are ignored. Clear this option to perform a search that locates text which is also partially matched by the text entered in the Find what field.
