Use the following options to connect to the source database and select a plant hierarchy item in the domain. The source domain can be:

  • The same as the target domain.

  • Different from the target domain but belonging to the same database.

  • A domain from a database or database platform other than the target domain database.

Information

Displays the currently selected source domain information. These fields are read-only. The <Unit> field remains blank if you selected a plant hierarchy item on the Source Plant Hierarchy Dialog that is not at the lowest level of the hierarchy. Also note that when you first open a merger session, the source domain is the same as the target domain by default, and the data displayed is for the current domain.

Use target domain as source

Allows you to use the current target domain as the source domain. On selecting the check box, the Source Plant Hierarchy dialog opens to allow you to select all or part of the plant hierarchy in the domain as the source.

Connect

Opens the Connect to Database Dialog, where you can select and connect to a source domain other than the current domain. Note that this button is not enabled if you selected Use target domain as source.

Plant Hierarchy

Opens the Source Plant Hierarchy dialog, where you can select the required plant hierarchy item for use as the source.

Match Plant Items

Opens the Match Plant Hierarchy Items Dialog, where you can match the target and the source <units>. This button is disabled if you have selected a plant hierarchy item at the lowest level as source in the Select Plant Hierarchy dialog.

Match Projects

Opens the Match Projects Dialog, where you can match the target and the source projects. This button is enabled only if you have selected to merge configuration data and the source and target domains are of type Owner operator.

Match Conventions

Opens the Match Naming Conventions Dialog, where you can match the target and the source naming conventions.
