The options on the Cable Lengths tab allow you to set the rules for spur cables connecting instruments to a home-run cable. The spur cable lengths depend on the number of devices that are allowed per segment and per spur.
Units
Allows you to select Meters or Feet as the length unit of measure. This will determine the unit of measure for reports generated for segments associated with this profile.
Number of devices per segment
Allows you to type the minimum and maximum number of devices per segment.
Number of devices per spur
1 — Allows you to type the spur cable length for all the number of devices per segment settings where there is only one device per spur.
2 — Allows you to type the spur cable length for all the number of devices per segment settings where there are two devices per spur.
3 — Allows you to type the spur cable length for all the number of devices per segment settings where there are three devices per spur.
4 — Allows you to type the spur cable length for all the number of devices per segment settings where there are four devices per spur.
