This dialog enables you to assign an external macro data source to one or more loop numbers. Assigning an external macro source allows you to use macros from external database when generating a loop drawing. Note that in addition to assigning the macro source, you need to connect to the external macro source database using the Define External Macro Source dialog.

Loop Number

Displays the loop numbers that you selected in the Domain Explorer.

Macro Source

Allows you to type the exact location of the external macro source that you want to assign to the corresponding loop number.

  • If your macro source is an ODBC profile, type the exact path and the file name of the source database file.

  • If your macro source is a specific table on Oracle or SQL Server, you need to type the exact table name.

Apply same source to all displayed loop numbers

Enables you to apply the same macro source to all the loop numbers displayed in the Loop Number column. When you select this check box, the software populates the selected macro source in all the Macro Source column fields, whether the fields are empty or not.
