  1. On the Target Table Definition dialog, for the target table, select Definition.

  2. On the Table Definition Name dialog, select a definition that you want to use as a source for creating a new definition.

  3. Select OK.

  4. When prompted to view the definition, select Yes.

  5. Make the changes that you require. For details, see Modify a Table Definition.

  6. Select Clear to clear the Key definition working area.

  7. Select Save As.

  8. On the Definition Names dialog, do the following:

  9. Select Insert.

  10. Select the new row and type a unique name.

  11. Select OK.

  12. On the Target Table Definition dialog, select Close.

  13. If prompted to set the new definition as the active definition, do one of the following:

    • Select Yes to and set this definition as the definition that is used in the Import Link window.

    • Select No to leave the new definition in the list of the definitions assigned to the current import link.

SHARED Tip The software prompts you to set the new definition as the active definition instead of the existing one if you opened the Table Definitions dialog from the Link Properties dialog.
