An EDE is displayed in this window when you open an EDE from the EDE Explorer or generate an EDE from Query Builder.
The EDE is displayed in a grid format. You can perform a number of actions on the grid. For example; sort data in their columns, applying filters to columns, grouping columns, copy/paste data from column to column, and performing a search on the EDE. For more information; see Working with EDE Views.
Search Box
There are two options available for searching the data retrieved by the EDE.

These options depend on the number of grid rows retrieved and can be selected from the Page Selection list next to the Search field.
Search field
Type your search criteria in the Search field. To clear your search, select 
.
Page Selection
Select to perform your search on a selected EDE page or all pages retrieved by the EDE. By default the EDE displays a page with up to 50 rows. It is possible to display a maximum of up to 3000 rows per page if required.
Current Page
Displays the search results for the current page. In the Search field, type 3 or more characters. As you type, suggested items that match the search criteria are displayed under the Search field and also highlighted in yellow in the grid. You select which page to view by typing the page number or using the Page controls at the bottom of the EDE.

Only the first four matching strings are displayed under the Search field, all matching strings are displayed in the grid.

Select on a string displayed under the Search field to locate the string in the grid.

A search using a wildcard (*) must be used with an alphanumeric character.

If nothing matches your search criteria the Search field is displayed with a red border.
All Pages
Automatically selected when more than one page is available (a page by default contains 50 rows with a possible maximum of up to 3000 rows). The All Pages search is applied only to identifier fields, on all the pages retrieved by the EDE. It does not search as you type. After typing your search string you must select on the magnifying glass icon or press Enter on the keyboard. You select which page to view by typing the page number or using the Page controls at the bottom of the EDE.
A progress bar is displayed during the search.
Grouping Bar
The Group By: allows sorting of data by dragging column headers from the grid to the grey section (under the Search box) displaying the text: "Drag a column header and drop it here to group by that column."
EDE Grid View
The data for the selected EDE View is displayed here. It is possible to open more
than one EDE at the same time, each EDE is displayed in its own tab. Switch between
each EDE by selecting on its tab or selecting 
and selecting the EDE from the list.
You can also apply filters to each column by selecting on 
in the column headers and in the Filter dialog apply your criteria.
Select on 
when it is displayed in a column header to open and edit supporting tables that are
relevant to that column.

A maximum number of 1000 items is displayed in the Filter dialog.

When opening an EDE View (for the first time) based on a predefined shipped browser, the EDE will display the columns and data in a different order than that of the browser. There is no change to the data.
Displaying Rows
Displays the first and last row number of the displayed page in relation to their position, within all the pages of the retrieved data and the total number of rows retrieved. For example, 6001 to 9000 of 22545 rows.

After applying a filter to your query or to your EDE View, the number of rows is still displayed even if the filtered data is shortened down to only one page in your query or EDE View. For example, before filtration 6001 to 9000 of 22545 rows. After filtration 200 of 22545 rows.

When your query or EDE retrieves less than one page, then only the number of rows on the page are displayed.
Selected Cells
Displays the number of cells currently selected.
Page Controls
Use these controls to find a page within the retrieved data. Use the Forward and Back arrows to move one page at a time. Use the double arrows to move to the first or last page of the retrieved data. Use the box provided to type a page number to find a specific page.
