This procedure allows you to redefine the column layout you want to print from your EDE View. By combining up to five column headers into one column, you can consolidate data spread across multiple columns into a single column, reducing the size of the grid while retaining relevant data.

Click
to open the EDE Module.

On the EDE Explorer, double click on the EDE View you want to print.

From the EDE Actions tab, click
(Print Report).

At the prompt: Do you want to preview reports before printing? click Yes.

With the Print Preview window open, click View > Multi-Header Report.

On the Define Multi-Header Report window, drag out the column headers you want to appear in your report from the Column Header window out to the column you want them to appear in.

You can drag up to five column headers into one column.

Column headers not used in the Define Multi-Header Report window, are not displayed in the preview or printed.

Click Clear to return to your original EDE layout.

Click Save, the Multi-Header Print Report preview opens.

To print the EDE View as a Multi-Header Report, do one of the following:

On the EDE module toolbar, click

On the Actions menu, click Print.

EDE Views created with Multi-Header Reports do not work with the Compare EDE Reports feature.

Opening the Print Multi-Header Report is subject to the appropriate access rights given to the EDE module.

Any changes made to the EDE that do not match the template used to generate the EDE, displays an error message.
