You use this dialog to compare between an instrument's current specifications data and its archived specification revisions, or compare between pairs of instruments' archived revisions. You can also select several instruments and compare between their archived specification revisions.
You can only compare between specifications that are archived on the same database
or stored in the file system as zip/psr files.
Revision filter
The options in this group box enable you to specify archived revisions filtering criteria.
Tag number
Allows you to type an instrument tag number.
Document number
Allows you to type a document number.
Revision number
Allows you to type a revision number.
Form number
Allows you to select the specification form number from the list.
Plant hierarchy item
Allows you to select the plant hierarchy unit item from the list.
Specification revision selection
This window displays the filtered revisions. When no filtering is applied, this window displays all archived revisions.
The Select spec revisions window does not display the following:

Revisions created in the Binder module
-
Archived Composite specifications forms
-
Archived cable, panel, wiring equipment, and Hook-Up item specification data sheets
Status
Indicates whether the selected revision is the most recently archived version or not. Last indicates the most recently archived revision.
Item
Displays the item name.
Document Number
Displays the document number.
Multi-tag
A selected check box indicates a specification that applies to a group of instruments.
Revision Number
Displays the revision number.
Revision Description
Displays the revision description.
Storage Method
Indicates whether the revision was saved to the software database or in a user-specified folder. Database indicates the software database and Archived (psr/zip file) indicates a user-specified folder.
Case Name
Displays the case name (if applicable).
Plant Hierarchy Item
Displays plant unit hierarchy details.
Form Number
Displays the form number.
Compare with current data
Select to include the current specifications data of an instrument or instruments in the comparison process. Leave the check box unselected to enable a comparison between selected pairs of revisions.
Select all
Select to enable the comparison between the current specifications data and all revisions of each selected instrument. Leave the check box unselected to enable comparison between selected revisions only.
Activity
Displays the documents that are currently compared.
Find
Select to display in a list of filtered revisions according to the revision filter criteria in the Select spec revisions window or display a full list of revisions when no filtering criteria was specified.
