The Instrument Manufacturers supporting table holds your current instrument manufacturer information. Instrument manufacturer is a tag number attribute. The Instrument Manufacturers supporting table allows you to control the content of the Manufacturer lists in the Tag Number Properties and Find Tag dialogs as well as the Manufacturer column in an Instrument Index EDE view (available after selecting Manufacturer Name from the EDE Actions tab).
The URL feature on the Instrument Manufacturer dialog allows you to enter a URL that can be double- clicked to automatically launch the Internet Explorer and go to the pertinent Web site if you are connected to the Internet.
The data window contains the existing instrument manufacturer definitions and their descriptions. To edit an existing instrument manufacturer definition, select a row and then double-click in the field. To add a new instrument manufacturer definition, select New.
Find instrument manufacturer
Allows you to find a record in the data window. Type the item you want to find and the software highlights the record in the data window below.
Manufacturer
Allows you to type an instrument manufacturer name.
Description
Allows you to type a brief description if needed.
Manufacturer Identification
Foundation Fieldbus manufacturer identifier, available in the vendor definition file.
URL
Allows you to type a URL that becomes a link to the required Web site. Double-clicking this link launches the Internet Explorer and, if you are connected to the Internet, goes to the pertinent site.
