Enable Creation of Complementary Elements for Instrument Index - Intergraph Smart Instrumentation - Help

Prerequisite

Make sure that the appropriate instrument type profile definitions exist in target domain.

1. On the Link Definitions dialog, in the Link box, type a unique link name.

2. Under Import method select one of the following:

   • Select Module (multiple tables), and then, under Name of module or table, select Instrument Index.

   • Select Single table, and then, under Name of module or table, select COMPONENT or any other instrument index-related table.

3. Complete the import link creation.

4. Open the Link Properties dialog, and select the General tab.

5. Under Create complementary elements, select check boxes for the elements that you want to create. You can create any of the following elements:

   • A device panel and a cable for an instrument whose instrument type profile includes wiring, and which has the following default elements: panel, cable, and connection type.

   • A document number row and a default revision row (which is initially empty) in the DRAWING table for a specification, process data sheet and calculation sheet.

   • Instrument associations with an existing I/O type, location, and hook-up.
