You use this dialog to define a new cable configuration.

You access this dialog by clicking New on the Cable Configuration dialog.

Total number of sets

Allows you to select a number of cable sets. This number determines the number of sets (that is, pairs, triads, and so forth) in the new configuration. You can use an additional set for an overall shield. If you enter 0 (zero), the software creates a cable without any sets and wires. Cables without sets and wires are useful when creating cable block diagrams.

Default cable set type

Allows you to select an appropriate cable set type from the available default types. The selected type determines whether the cables based on the current configuration will have multiple wires, pairs, triads, and so forth.
