To add items to custom views, you first create a custom view folder in the Custom View Properties dialog. Subsequently, in the Domain or Reference Explorer you select a folder, and add it to the custom view of your choice (only folders can be selected for a custom view).

A custom view is specific to the explorer it was created in, you cannot add items from the Reference Explorer to a custom view created in the Domain Explorer or from the Domain Explorer to a custom view created in the Reference Explorer.

Define a Custom View

  1. From the Domain or Reference Explorer select (New Custom View).

  2. On the Custom View Properties dialog, select .

  3. In the new field, type the custom view name.

  4. Select OK to save your changes.

To edit a custom view, select a row, and select on the custom view name to edit it.

Add folders to a Custom View

  1. From the Domain or Reference Explorer, select one or multiple folders from the tree hierarchy.

  2. Right-click and select Add to Custom View, and then select the required custom view.

Display a Custom Domain or Reference Explorer View

  1. Open the Domain or Reference Explorer.

  2. Select and select from the Explorer Name select list the custom explorer you want displayed.

  • To remove a folder from a custom explorer view, open the custom view, select and right-click the folder, and select Remove Folder.

  • To remove a custom view from the list, select and on the Custom View Properties dialog, select the custom view from the list, and select NewExplorer_CustomView_Remove.

  • To search for a custom view, type into the Search field. Matching results display as you type.

  • When using the Go To search functionality on a custom explorer view, the custom explorer view must be selected and all its folders expanded.

  • After closing the explorer window, the explorer is reset to the default explorer. To see your custom explorer view on reopening the explorer you must reselect the required custom explorer view.
