You use the working area to prepare a SEE-LIST for the Multi-Tag List page of a multi-tag specification. The working area displays the pages of the spec form which you use as a source for a format. If the source form is a multi- page form, you can toggle between the pages by selecting the numeric tab on each page ( Page 1, Page 2, and so forth).

Field Headers (left portion of the working area)

This portion displays field headers. When the cursor is over a header, the cursor changes its shape to PPM All Outputs Graphic. If you select a header, its name becomes displayed instead of the header name selected in the Edit Headers pop-up window.

Changing the field header name does not change the field. For example, the Service header is associated with the cmpnt_serv field. If you display another header in place of Service, this is the header that becomes associated with the cmpnt_serv field in the multi-tag spec.

Data Fields (right portion of the working area)

This portion displays fields that you can include in a SEE LIST or a multi- tag spec. When cursor is over a field, the cursor changes its shape to PPM All Outputs Graphic. Double-selecting the field add the field header in the Edit Headers pop-up window. Fields whose headers are added in the Edit Headers pop-up window are those that appear in the SEE-LIST of a multi-tag spec. In the Edit Headers pop-up window, for a data field whose header name is not defined, you can type the header name over the field name. The background colors of the data field cells indicate which fields you are moving from the common pages to the SEE-LIST:

  • A white background indicates a field not yet moved to the SEE-LIST.

  • A magenta background indicates the field that is currently active in the Edit Headers pop-up window. This field appears in the spec SEE-LIST.

  • A cyan background indicates fields that you have already moved to the SEE-LIST. The headers for these fields appear in the Edit Headers pop-up window.

Although it is possible to add graphic object fields in the Edit Headers pop-up window, when generating or saving the format, the software does not include the graphic object fields.
