Allows you to revise a document in Smart 3D without sharing it to SDx.

  • Boxes with a shaded background are read-only and cannot be edited.

  • A dash appears in a box if more than one document is selected, and the documents have different values for what is displayed.

Engineering Tool

Displays an authoring tool-specific dialog that enables you to select documents to add to the tree view list.

Delete

Removes the selected document from the tree view list.

Documents tree

Lists the documents selected for revision. You populate this list by selecting documents before using the Revise with SDx command command. Select Delete to remove documents from this list.

Revision Scheme

Name

Choose the revision scheme to be applied. Only revision schemes that are applicable to the configuration (plant) or classification (document type) are available in the drop-down menu. If none of the revision schemes are related to the configuration or classification, then all revision schemes are available.

Major Type

Displays the type of the major revision value sequence for the selected revision scheme. This information is read-only.

Minor Type

Displays the type of the minor revision value sequence for the selected revision scheme if the revision scheme contains a minor revision sequence. This information in read-only.

Current Revision in Tool

Major

Displays the current major revision of the document as defined in the authoring tool. This information is read-only. For new documents, this box is empty.

Minor

Displays the current minor revision of the document as defined in the authoring tool. This information is read-only. If the revision scheme does not use minor revision, or if the selected document has not yet been revised, this box is empty.

Revise in Tool

Major

Choose the major revision value for the document to revise it locally and to reserve the revision in SDx.

Minor

Choose the minor revision value for the document to revise it locally and to reserve the revision in SDx. You only need to set this option if you want a minor revision value.

Security Code

Restricts user access to documents and data using configured security rules. SDx delivers pre-configured security codes that you can change, if necessary. To find documents and data in a project, you must be assigned matching security codes for that project. The available security codes are Proprietary, Restricted, and Unclassified.

Next Major

Updates the document revision to the next major revision value as specified by Revise in Tool > Major list.

Next Minor

Updates the document revision to the next minor revision value as specifies by Revise in Tool > Minor list.
