Existing unit of measure (UoM) lists must adhere to these rules.

  • The UID property cannot be changed.

  • The Name property can be changed because it is not tied to the UID.

  • The Description property can be changed.

  • The DimUnits property can be changed.

  • An undefined EnumNumber property can be given a value.

  • If the EnumNumber property was previously defined, the value cannot be changed.

  • Existing contains relationships cannot be deleted.

  • New contains relationships can be added.

  • A UoMConditions relationship cannot be deleted.

  • The default SI unit of measure for the UoM list cannot be changed.
