This functionality was modified in an update. For more information, see Configure the audit functionality on methods (modified in an update).

The audit functionality tracks actions performed by users over a period of time, like download, view, or update of any objects or files in SDx. You can also run a report to analyze who has viewed or updated the information in SDx, and when.

Before configuring, you must set EnableAuditing to True under the Site Settings node in the SDx Server Manager. If you are using SDx deployed in Smart Cloud, this must be done for you by the Smart Cloud Team.

In the System Administration feature set, any user with an Audit role must perform the following tasks to configure the audit functionality on a method:

  1. Select the method, and click Actions > Enable/Disable Audit.

  2. Select the Is Audit Required On Method option.

  3. Click UPDATE.

  4. To ensure the changes are implemented, perform an IIS reset or recycle your site's application pools on the server.

In the Business Administration feature set, any user with the Audit role can execute the following reports:

  • Audit history - to view who has used a method configured for auditing, at what time, and for which object in the system.

  • Methods for audit - to view all the methods configured for auditing.
