Rendering Settings are preset to provide optimal viewing performance when loading models in the Graphic
View Control (GVC). If you have completed all the items in the Configure Graphic View Control for performance and you are experiencing slow performance when loading Hexagon 3D models, contact
Support for assistance creating Rendering Settings.
Once the Rendering Settings have been created, you can apply Rendering Settings to specific documents containing 3D models or to user accounts to maximize a models
viewing performance.
How do I apply Rendering Settings to a 3D model?

Depending on the dataset your environment uses, log on to HxGN SDx as one of the following:

Navigate to the System Administration feature set, and select Rendering Settings.

Select a Rendering Setting in the results grid, and click Actions > Relationship Builder.

In the Relationship Items section, add one or more specific documents containing 3D models to relate to the
selected Rendering Settings from the following tabs:

Pins - shows documents previously saved as pins in your Pinboard or newly created documents in New Items.

Existing - shows documents that are already related to the selected Rendering Settings.

Search - search for documents in your system using specific search criteria and Filter options.

Select RELATE.

How do I apply Rendering Settings to a user?
When Rendering Settings are applied to a user account, it will supersede any other Rendering Settings applied to individual models.

Depending on the dataset your environment uses, log on to HxGN SDx as one of the following:

In the Business Administration feature set, select User Management.

In the User tab, find the required user, and select > UPDATE.

In the MAIN DETAILS tab, choose one of the Rendering settings.

Select UPDATE.
