  1. Query for the required interface definition. For example, in the Desktop Client, click Find > Schema > Interface Definition > ISPFFolder.

  2. Select ISPFFolder, and right-click Manage Notifications. The Manage Related Items form is displayed.

  3. In the right window, select the event and click to add the event to the interface definition.

If the dialog box is in portrait orientation, the Library pane appears at the bottom of the dialog box instead of on the right side of the dialog box. Click Relate Selected Item in the Library pane to add the event to the interface definition.

  4. Click in the corresponding Notification cell and select the notification from the drop-down list.

  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each event you wish to relate to the interface definition.

SHARED Tip Click Remove Selected Item to remove the relationship between an event and an interface definition. The event remains in the database.

  6. Click OK.

Subscribed users will now see a notification when the selected event occurs on the interface definition.

  • If there are several interfaces on an event, the most specialized one is selected.

  • If only one interface is found, that interface is used.

  • If no interfaces are found, the default notification set in the system options is used.
