  1. Find the workflow templates using a search or open the Workflow Management feature set, and click Workflow Templates.

    All the editable workflow templates that can be compared are identified by True in the Out Of Sync with Master column in the results grid.

  2. In the Workflow Templates results grid, select the editable workflow template you want to compare to its related master version.

  3. Click Actions > Compare Workflow Templates to open the Compare Workflow Templates window.

    SHARED Tip Only steps that are new or have property or attribute changes are highlighted. All others are grayed out.

    What do the colors mean on workflow steps?

    The LEGEND provides information on the workflow step type and the color indicates the step's status.

    What are the corrective actions I can take?

    The following scenarios indicate the types of corrective action you can take when you synchronize the workflows.

    1. The master workflow template is unchanged, and the editable workflow template is unchanged.

      • You take no changes and keep the editable workflow template as it exists.

    2. The master workflow template has new steps or property changes.

      • You synchronize and merge all the master workflow template changes with the editable workflow template.

    3. The master workflow template has changes, and the editable workflow template has customizations.

      • You synchronize and accept or decline some of the master workflow template changes with the editable workflow template.

    4. The master workflow template has changes, and you want to accept them all.

      • You use the Replace with Master Template action and create a completely new editable workflow template that incorporates all the master workflow template changes.

  4. Traverse between each conflicted step using the Show next change or Show previous change arrows in the toolbar or go directly to the step by selecting the step from the list, such as Add content, markup.

    • You can quickly skip properties with low importance using the arrows allowing you to focus on the most critical updates.

    • By default, the workflow steps are displayed in landscape mode. You can change to upright mode using Filter .
