Create the home screen dashboard - HxGN SDx - Update 64 - Administration & Configuration

This functionality was modified in an update. For more information, see Create the home screen dashboard (modified in an update).

This section describes how to create a home screen dashboard, and make it available to all document controllers.

When we create a dashboard, a method is created which can then be used to display the dashboard. We relate this method to an interface to make the dashboard available on the required Actions menu.

1. In the Dashboards feature set, select Create Dashboard.

2. Type SDx_Home_Screen_Example as the name of the dashboard.

3. Type Example Home Screen as the title. The Page title is displayed in the Web Client when the dashboard is opened.

4. Set the Type to Home screen to make this a home screen dashboard.

5. Select Published. This option makes the home screen available to other users.

   When you are creating your own dashboards you can leave this option unchecked until you have finished making your changes and select it at a later time, as described in Update a dashboard.

6. Select the Five widget layout template as the layout for the dashboard.

7. Click Next to move to the Access Control page of the wizard which is where we configure how to access the dashboard and who can view it.

8. In the Access groups section, select FDWDocumentControl. This means that the home screen will be available to all document controllers.

9. Click Finish to create the home screen. The home screen is displayed showing four unconfigured widgets.

   The next step is to Configure the home screen widgets.
