To view files, you must have SmartPlant Markup Plus installed.
When you view and mark up a file, each markup layer is created as a separate markup file, and a new relationship is created between the file object and markup file object. The next time you view the file, SmartPlant Markup Plus picks up all the markup files associated with the file, loads them, and displays the file with all the markups.
You can expand the markup files from a document object.
Right-click the document object, and click Files > View and Markup on the shortcut menu.
Display nested reference files
The parameter Show nested references dialog, defined on the Navigate client API, controls the display of nested reference files when selecting files to view.

If Show nested references dialog is set to True, the dialog box shows the nested structure of the reference files. You can select the desired reference files to be viewed with the master, and the master is viewed with only the selected references.
If the object contains only one file and has no references, the master is viewed
without displaying a dialog box.

If Show nested references dialog is set to False, the dialog box shows a flat structure that displays only the master files and not the reference file structure. When you select a master file, you will see it with all related reference files.
If the object contains only one file, with or without references, the master is viewed
without displaying a dialog box.
