This functionality was modified in an update. For more information, see Configure management properties on contractor documents (modified in an update).
Typically, contractor documents loaded through a submittal process are set to an Issued status and can be updated by the owner operator. After a contractor document is submitted and loaded into a system, you can update security properties, such as security level and review priority. In addition, you can allow documents from the contractors who are no longer active on the project, to be shared with the project.
The following table explains the privileges a user has on the properties of contractor documents.

Collaborating organization
To update the collaborating organization, do the following:
-
In the Update document form, manage the organizations in the Collaboration tab.
-
If the document is signed off, select Actions > Update Collaborating Organizations.
-
You can also update the collaborating organizations for a signed off document in the Desktop Client.
-
Collaborating organization users can only see the documents which are in current revision state, if created by other organization users. If a document is revised, the collaborating organization user cannot see the new version of the revised document until that document version is signed off.
