Error Message

The following error occurs when launching the Server Manager after upgrading HxGN SDx to Update 42.

System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'SPFServerManagerCore.ICMDLineContoller' from assembly 'SPFServerManagerCore, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'

Cause

This occurs when you are using Visualization Data Service (VDS), SDx Connector for Plant Maintenance, SDx Connector for AspenTech, or SDx Connector for OSIsoft PI and have upgraded HxGN SDx to Update 42 without uninstalling them.

Solution

Follow the following steps to resolve this error:

  1. Uninstall the VDS, the SDx Connector for Plant Maintenance, the SDx Connector for AspenTech, or the SDx Connector for OSIsoft PI, and ensure all DLLs and other supporting files are uninstalled.

  2. Repair the HxGN SDx Update 42.

  3. Install the latest update of VDS, SDx Connector for Plant Maintenance, SDx Connector for AspenTech, or SDx Connector for OSIsoft PI.
