Problem

The File Download dialog box does not display when clicking View Native on a .dwg file in the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client on a computer with DWG TrueView 2014 installed. The File Viewer window might be blank or might contain the following error message:

This program cannot display the webpage

Solution

Edit the registry to be able to view the file using the View Native command.

Manually editing the registry incorrectly can cause problems that may require you to reinstall the operating system. Problems created by the incorrect editing of the registry may not be possible to solve. Edit the registry at your own risk.

  1. Start the Registry Editor (regedit.exe).

    • You should back up the registry before you edit it.

  2. Find the following key in the registry: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Wow6432Node\CLSID\{6C7DC044-FB1E-4140-9223-052E5ABE7D24}\EnableFullPage

  3. Under EnableFullPage, right-click .dwg and click Delete.

  4. Click Registry > Exit to close the Registry Editor.
