Set the View Rendition Auto Convert option (retired) - SmartPlant Foundation - SmartPlant Foundation 2020 - Help - Hexagon

This functionality was removed in Update 33.

These steps are required for configuring SmartPlant Markup Plus for the SmartPlant Foundation Desktop Client.

1. Log on to the Desktop Client on the application server.

2. Click Find > Administration > SmartPlant Foundation Options.

3. In the Name box, type SystemOptions and click OK.

4. Right-click SystemOptions, and click Update.

5. Select the View Rendition Auto Convert option on the Update - SPF System Options dialog box.

   

6. In the View Rendition File type UID box, enter the value that represents the target view rendition file type.

   The default View Rendition File type UID value is FT_csf, which creates a CSF file. You can specify a different file type by appending the file extension to the value FT_. For example, to set the target file type as PDF, set the View Rendition File type UID to FT_pdf. For more information on setting the View Rendition File type UID, see Configure the system options.

7. Click Finish.

When the View Rendition Auto Convert option is selected, auto conversion becomes part of the Data Validator document loading process, causing load jobs to take more time.
